Death Note: Rewrite

'Clever, isn't he?' She thought with a grin. "Are you surprised that it's me?"

Rylan nodded. "I didn't expect it to be you, at any rate. I figured someone... older. No offense by any means." He answered.

"Did you expect it to be a man?" She asked again, not hiding the amusement in her voice.

"Honestly, yeah. Sorry about that misunderstanding." Rylan grinned a bit sheepishly.

Lily grinned again and looked back at him. "No one knows that there is a second Mori, only the two of us. Seeing as how you've done nothing to hint at it in the eyes of K, she will not suspect that there is another one either." She said, shedding her casual stance and expression. "We can work this to our advantage, if you are willing to help me to the best that you can."

"Of course I am. Since the killings began, I've been ready to do so if the opportunity ever arose. I just got lucky." Rylan said, watching her now with some respect.

Lily nodded and looked down the hall to her father's room. "As for right now, we kill 10 criminals each, I can prodive you a list of who to kill and at what time. I'll leave it in a small envelope in the side alley of the agency thaht you work at. It would be behind something that would conceal well, so that no one would find it if they weren't looking for it. We'll have to see what else K has planned before we can make any large moves."

Having the hold on her father's computer would be a good grip to see exactly she was planning. If she was able to close in on Bend, she'd be able to tell just how quickly K was doing it and be able to hide any evidence og herself. She looked over to Rylan for his reaction, watching him keenly.

"How will you find out what she's planning?" Rylan frowned a bit, tilting his head. [/failsorry]

"My father is the chief of Deschutes County police. K has asked him to help take on the Mori case, since she knows that Mori is somewhere within the four cites. I have access to his computer which he uses for work, so it's easy for me to see what's happened thus far with the case." She said and scowled at the memory of last night's broadcast. "Unless she does something unexpected like before, I should be able to know what she's planning."

"Oh! I see. I never knew that..." Rylan said, nodding. "That's clever. But what if she does pull something off like that again? It'd begin to grate the police force's nerves, eventually..."

"Of course it would," Lily agreed, "If she pulled off something like that video again, I highly doubt the police will let it happen again. The police wouldn't be so complacent next time, neither will the public. I don't think she would though." She shook her head. "Unless you have anything else to add, I think you should go. My little sister and father will be home soon, and I don't want to explain this to them. Is your home ever free?"

Rylan nodded as she spoke. "That's fine. I can give you my phone number if you want it, you know. My house is usually free in the mornings, though." He explained.

Lily frowned and shook her head. "People might suspect something if we did that. We couldn't talk freely like we are now either." She sighed. "I can't think of anything for it though, at least at the moment."

Rylan sighed heavily. "If you think so." He nodded a bit. "That's fine."

Lily frowned. "We do need some cover for when we do talk. It's not as if it's often to see the both of us together, even at school."

Rylan raised an eyebrow, thinking. "I don't think it'd work, but we could just say we decided to start seeing each other... though that might be a bit irresponsible at the beginning of all this." He sighed.

Lily nodded. "Yes I think it would be too. I'll think about it over the night, if I have anything, I'll tell you tomorrow."

"Alright. I'll leave now." Rylan said. He seemed to hesitate for a long time before leaning in and kissing her on the cheek, and turning and walking out casually. He whistled now, grinning to himself.

Lily's eye twitched slightly as he walked out, staring after him blankly. She turned and shook her head, scowling slightly. 'That little sneak.'

Rem merely floated after Rylan, looking back at the house once. "Do you like her?" Rem asked after looking back at him.

"Yep." Rylan said casually, continuing to whistle a bit.

Ryuk roared with laughter. "That was great!"

"Why do you? She said you don't talk often."

"Hush you." Lily mumbled.

"No, so?" Rylan raised an eyebrow. "What about it?"

Ryuk snickered slightly. "Sorry, but that WAS funny."

"How are you able to tell if you like her?"

Lily mumbled and went up to her room.

"I watched her. And no, Rem, it's not stalking. I liked what I saw."

Ryuk levitated after her. Yey.

Rem shook her head and frowned. 'Humans don't deserve the Death Notes.'

Lily looked back at him. "Why don't you go peeping through Haily's drawers?"
