"Definitely not the Mori Case. I resigned from it."

Watari nodded and walked towards the limo. "Right this way then, F."

Lily started to head out but stopped. "At the same time, yes?"

"Yeah, sure." Rylan stood up, following her.

"This is a policeman's curiosity but why?" Carlos said and then took a sip of water

"I have a family. I don't want to be killed. K also doesn't let anyone know who she is, nor does Mori. They could be the same person. I'm not risking my neck."

"I see, you're saying that K could be a publicity stunt for Mori's big head, or that K is killing them and having Mori as a cover name, so that way he can "hunt" himself and no one can suspect him. I don't know enough to think that those could be the cases right now.

"I don't care. I'm not doing it." The cop said, scowling.

"That was more for me really. What case are you working now, since your not working with Mori."

"I'm on vacation time."

Ferren gave forth a thin smile, fidgeting with the knotted balloon in his pants pocket as he opened the limo door himself and slid in. All he wanted was to pop it into his mouth. Sadly, though, he was going to have to refrain form such abnormalties for now.

Kate stared into the reflection of the glass to observe him, looking at his expression intently. "Hello, F," she greeted quietly.

Watari got into the driver's seat of the limo and drove off, slowly at first, before he reached the legal limit.

Lily nodded and walked to the entrance, keeping her head low before she left.

Rylan didn't duck his head down, to avoid looking suspicious, and followed her out.

"I don't think that's a bad trade." Carlos said finishing his water "I'll get back to you when I can. I have a lot of work to do." Carlos exited.

With his hands in his lap, Ferren allowed himself a little smile. He knew that she was scrutinising him, but he made no effort to dissuade the act. "Good day, K." he greeted.

The cop stared after Carlos and shook his head, mumbling something.

"It truly is a pleasure to meet you. Please keep in mind you are the only person I have shown my appearance to, aside from Watari." Kate said, obviously very cautious. She took one last bracing breath before slowly turning on her seat to look at him eye to eye.

Well Watari's busy driving.

Lily started walking home briskly, glancing around as she went.

Rylan turned in the other way to head to his house.

Ferren met her eyes with a calm smile. "Of course I take that into consideration." he said, twitching his shoulders in a small shrug. "And I am thankful that you have chosen to give me this trust."

Kate smiled a bit and sighed deeply. "You have been keeping track of this case, yes?"

"Naturally," Ferren replied with a tilt of his head.

"What have you concluded?" Kate asked, not bothering to show she was testing him. "Also, call me Kate from now on. Is there anything I may call you?"

"You can call me Ferren," he replied. He knew he was being tested. He simply needed common sense to figure that much out. "And I have yet to draw a final conclusion. And forgive the absurdity of my saying, but either Mori has extensive medical and scientific connectivity, or there's something outlandishly foul at play."

Kate nodded. "Yes, that is true. There are two things that I've concluded that Mori needs to put that knowledge that you speak of to use. Have you deduced them?"

"I can't say for sure," Ferren replied in dulcet tones. "Seeing as our manners of thought will clearly vary in conclusion. But, perhaps..." he tilted his head in the opposite direction, smiling. "There is more than one Mori?"
