2014.

The world is in ruins.

At least 3/4 of the world's population is gone. What of the 1/4th remaining? They're in hiding, hiding from the Soul Searchers.
Who are the Soul Searchers? No one really knows. They're out for 23 hours of the day. That's right, you only get one hour of freedom to do as you please. What hour is it that they don't come? From 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Each timezone applies. The Soul Searchers get their name from the crosses they wear around their necks that shine with the light of life, yet what they take are lives.
In 2012, this is what happened. The rise of the Soul Searchers. It's your life, and it's your fight to survive! Who and what are the Soul Searchers? Find the truth. Find a reason and cause to live.

December 20, 2012: 10:00 pm.
A television reporter was on TV with a paper in his hand. The man looked professional, but anyone could see there was anxiety in his eyes as he spoke. He cleared his throat several times before he even began speaking. He inhaled deeply and looked at the camera, organizing the pages and setting them in front of him, folding his hands together. "Good evening. This is a worldwide broadcast around the world tonight for many reasons." He said, tipping his chin. "It's December 20, 2012. Tomorrow, in two hours, as prophesized by the Mayans, the human race will supposedly end." He stopped, cleared his throat again. "There has been many argument over the years about this prophecy, and the time has come. In two hours, we'll know if this is to happen."

The man looked up at the camera again. He pushed the papers away. "As of right now, I am not speaking as a newsperson or as an American citizen. I'm talking as a resident of the planet Earth, as a human. Everyone, no matter what happens in one hour and fifty-nine minutes, we are all united. All we need to do is trust in God. In God we trust. Now to tomorrow's weather..." He turned it over to the weatherman as if what he had said never happened.

There were many reactions to this news report. Many people ignored it completely. Some pleaded to God for mercy, and some looked forward to it. Many just sat in horror, staring at the television and some didn't even know. Many children were forced to go to bed early so they wouldn't have to sit in the quaking fear and anxiety of the event.

The news report stayed on for a long time, planning to stay on until December 21st. They seemed to have a lot to talk about. They spoke about Obama's presidency and the fact that he might be re-elected. They spoke about 9/11, and how this was relatable to the event coming up. They kept managing to find themselves back on the topic.

Many know that time flies in a time of anxiety. For the whole world, one hour and fifty-eight minutes seemed to take one minute and fifty eight milliseconds. The last minute was going to be the slowest of them all. It was like putting a year into a sixty seconds.

People's prayers elevated to screams. Many hid at the church, claiming they were going to be protected by God. Some got in tornado shelters and some sat as if it were an ordinary night. Unbelievably, many sat outside in lawn chairs with popcorn, having parties or just watching the sky.

Blackout. Immediately, screams pierced the air all around Earth. The sound of knives whipping through the air, bullets being shot, and hacking of axes or saws filled the night of December 21, 2012. Doors were broken down, glass broken, buildings raided.

The TVs in every house on Earth turned on. A blue cross covered the screen, an ominous glow emanating from it. It remained there while the raid of the unknown continued.

A voice spoke after most of the screaming around the world stopped. It declared powerfully, "We are the Soul Searchers."

Everything blacked out again, and what was left of the world fell into a hushed silence.

2012... 2013... 2014... two years have passed...

And the world hasn't changed at all. The Soul Searchers have taken it over with an iron fist and they haven't relented in their purge of the planet. Finally, the meaning has become clear to only a few people... but why do the humans have to die? Can't here be another way to do it? Power is not a noble pursuit...

Only to the Soul Searchers...

A group of humans have formed over the years. It got progressively bigger and bigger, growing out of the vicinity of the Soul Searcher's ever owning gaze. They are nearly as big, if not bigger than the Soul Searcher population. There are four leaders, just as there are for the Soul Searchers. None of them will stand for the reign of the Soul Searchers.

The fourth leader, Autumn Snow, had been captured. She escaped.

She met the humans that could possibly turn everything around.

Acacia, Kendra, Dylan, Duncan, Freia, and Zack are the closest people she had seen for a long time. Acacia and Duncan were Soul Searchers—Acacia by force, Duncan unknown. Everything was connected in some way. Every person in the group wondered how it ended up so perfectly, everyone being infatuated with the other. Zack and Freia are meant for each other, since the day they met. Acacia and Dylan took a bit to adapt, and they still have to admit their feelings for each other. Kendra and Duncan had a really rough start, but their true feelings are only just starting to show.

The group have had several things befall them in a matter of months, but they have survived. Duncan has been gifted with the power of fire, a power granted from being a Soul Searcher. The reason the Soul Searchers exist.

The small group of humans [and two Soul Searchers] are currently seeking safety.

Travis Wolfe and Selene Marjaana have a bond that not many people have. They have started out as only friends, like most relationships, but in a matter of hours they took their love to all new heights as Selene ended up pregnant within a month. Travis has taken off with Selene as his brother, Fortune Treston [the leader of the Soul Searchers], has taken an infatuation with Selene. He has gained a power through protecting her—control over earth.

Gavrie Rzaev was a human with an odd personality before he ran into Fortune Treston, who turned him into a Soul Searcher upon request. He's undergone a few trials and assignments Fortune has assigned him, most all successful. He has a strange mind that interests quite a few people, but not the way it does to Julia Sinatra. The two met one day after Gavrie had gone out killing and took a shining to each other from then on. Gavrie has a second personality named Ivanka—but not much is known about her. Not even where she will lead him.

Everyone in this adventure is immensely different in ways unimaginable. However, only one thing can be said: They are worlds apart, but somewhere, they all connect.

The Human Leaders: Leliana Andraste, Charlie Cean, Alistair Theirin, and Autumn Snow began an alliance to destroy the Soul Searchers. With the help of the new humans that are going to come help them in this completely new adventure, the fate of the world will be decided, and life as we know it could be spared...

Or annihilated.

When Duncan, Dylan, Acacia, Kendra, Freia, Zack, and Autumn depart to search for a new place to call home, a place to be safe, several unexpected turns take place. They encounter Selene and Travis, the latter whom is injured, and the first who is extremely angered. In frustration she tries to force them to leave by attacking them, but Duncan convinces her otherwise—that is, until Autumn attack Travis. Failing to kill him because Selene reveals she has gained a power [water], Travis tells Selene what he had done to Autumn. Selene forgives him.

The others are allowed to stay for the night. As soon as they all awaken [after hours of arguing on Dylan's and Duncan's parts, as well as kissing dares] they all set out—even Travis and Selene.

Little do they know they were followed. Gavrie and Julia set out after them, recognizing the former Tertiary and Quaternary. They follow them all until they finally reach their goal.

The human base. Upon reaching it they are forced to reveal if they are a Soul Searcher or not—something Autumn neglected to mention. The Soul Searchers are separated from the humans but allowed to reunite once before a test that will determine whether the Soul Searchers will live or not. It is then that Acacia and Dylan as well as Kendra and Duncan finally confess their love for each other, knowing it may be the only chance they have to do so. In the meanwhile Charlie leaves the base and goes to town to try and find some humans. He meets a Soul Searcher, Morrigan—who he had known and loved when he was younger. Reunited and still in love, they promise to meet every two days.

The next day the Soul Searchers and humans are gathered in a room to meet an old man calling himself Elder. He wields a staff that determines the good will in a person, and uses it for the test. All but one unknown Soul Searcher survive, to Autumn's dismay. She confides in Alistair what happened to her while she was gone. Captured and used for the Tertiary's pleasure for an entire month, after explaining Autumn feels unmatched hatred. In the meanwhile everyone else discovers that the Elder is truly the old Absolute of the Soul Searchers. Fortune had pretended to kill him by having humans ambush him to become leader.

Everyone goes to get something to eat, as the place has an entire cafeteria. Gavrie and Julia go back and notify their leader of the presence of the human base, and Fortune jubilantly promises them rewards and calls upon a meeting. He sends a slave he had taken a year before, Lulu, to the human base in order to gain information. She meets Jaith, a cheerful young man who notices her timidness and extends a hand to show her around when she asks, for more reasons than he knows.

Autumn discovers that Selene killed her lover—Dustin—after Freia tells her such, and races to go get revenge. Nearly succeeding in killing Selene and possibly her baby, she is dragged away. For this Autumn is put into solitary. Before such, Travis and Duncan both go and confront of her, sending her into hysterics of being alone with her former torturers. She goes to Alistair and spends the night with him until the next day when she is put into solitary. Selene meets Hali, a professional nurse attending to all in the base. She offers to check on Selene's pregnancy routinely.

In the meantime Lulu checks daily with Fortune, reporting information Jaith has given her when she spends the days with him. She begins to have feelings for Jaith, and vice versa, but she knows that she has to serve Fortune or never be free again. Duncan goes to meet with the Elder, and is told that there is a cure to the burning of the scars. Duncan refuses it and leaves, but not after a longer conversation. The Elder could almost be a father-figure. Freia and Zack find a letter that is from her brother, and part is addressed to Alistair. They deliver it and leave after Alistair reads it and is willing to be an uncle-like figure to Freia.

A Soul Searcher named Darius Monroe meets a human named Zerlina Beau, whom he changes into a Soul Searcher out of curiosity. Also at the Soul Searcher base, Fortune finds out about Charlie and Morrigan meeting and apprehends her. He tortures her for information and describes several grisly circumstances that will take place if she doesn't kill him or turn him into a Soul Searcher. When Charlie and Morrigan meet again, he simply leaves after she proposes to turn him into a Soul Searcher.

Selene and Travis take intimacy further, finally telling one another about their tortured pasts. After several days of routine occurences and meetings with Fortune and Lulu, things get more eventful. Duncan and Travis joke around, as does Selene. Darius' and Duncan's father, Melvin, decides to show his face at the Soul Searcher base once more.

Finally, Fortune starts issuing meetings regarding the human base. One day Leliana sends out several groups of people to try and find humans, but it goes awry when something happens to Travis' scars [Fortune's device] and causes him to attack Selene. After the attack, it is discovered that Selene is pregnant with twins. Travis recognizes Lulu and warns Leliana about her, thus causing a suspicion about her being a spy.

During a meeting one day, Fortune forces Lulu to set bombs up in the base. Autumn is released and she goes to try and make up over past events regarding herself and the others, about her not telling them. She is forgiven by Acacia. Several other various events take place, and finally...

The day comes. Fortune calls a full meeting with every Soul Searcher in the base. They set out toward the human base. Lulu confesses to Jaith what she's done and Jaith notifies everyone. They get as many people out as they can, but the fight begins and ends with horrific circumstances. Acacia is forced to kill again, both Hali and the Elder die as do nearly two hundred humans. Leliana and Autumn are taken by the Soul Searchers and Alistair is nearly killed. It is also revealed, though, that Dustin lives as a Soul Searcher once again.

The remained fifty or so humans leave the remains with Charlie in charge. Duncan is then taken by his father on Fortune's orders. Duncan meets an earlier adversary, Adesa, who fights him for a while but leaves him in a cell. The RP leaves off as the humans are leaving toward a secondary base, but three rogue Soul Searchers—Nicolas, Callum, and Daniel—follow them to confront a few humans in particular...

The Code of the Soul Searcher

1. You must kill daily. A quota is reached when your necklace glows and your scars don't burn.

2. Do not fall in love with a human.

3. Do not lie to other Soul Searchers about important matters.

4. You may torture as much as you want as long as you kill the humans in the end.

5. Do not kill another Soul Searcher.

6. You may love another Soul Searcher. Do not have a child unless you want it to be a sacrifice to the leader or if you are planning on it to be a Soul Searcher.

7. There are four leaders. Do not kill to get into a leader's position.

8. You will be killed mercilessly if you do not abide by these rules or tortured incessantly.

He’s killed countless people slowly and as cruelly as he can. He’s been known to pin people to the wall with knives and just let them then starve/dehydrate until they died. He's third in command of all Soul Searchers. He has lost this ranking over time for loving Selene and fleeing with her to protect her from the Soul Searchers. He has changed to being more caring, but he is still as sadistic as he used to be toward other people. His care for Selene is not the same as it is for anyone else. When his brother took Selene several times, his love just got more and more advanced. He can't live without her now and regrets everything he's done to hurt her. He's allied with the humans now, and though he's not proud of it, he will fight alongside them to get back at his brotehr for what's been done.

They chose him because he’d killed before and he was “good” at it. He’s gained the rank of third in command of all Soul Searchers. After a few months he was upgraded to the rank of second in command, and finally first. In another few months he almost had his rank taken by Travis, and holds a grudge against him for that. He had been the apprentice of the old leader for a long time, but brought the leader to his death on his own accord to become leader. He finds interest in some people and chooses them to become Soul Searchers, but not many people are worthy of his gaze. He is determiend to wipe out all the humans and doesn't take mercy on many. He seems to have a problem regarding his mind and seems to have a split personality at times, but not many people know about it—currently, only Acca does. No one knows, but he has a suspicious of a human uprising. When he's proven right, he takes all steps necessary to annihilate the entire human base. He succeeds and has a captive now, Leliana. However, something is about to change... whether it's for the better or worse, it will not be known.

Biography [Two sentences]: Freia’s parents were lost in the raid of 2012, the rise of the Soul Searchers. Her older brother, Dustin, takes care of her. She despises all evil and scoffs at the idea of violence. Dustin taught her to speak German as a cover in case she had to hide and it was the only way they could talk to each other. She has an uncanny sense of knowing whether someone’s intentions are good or bad. She is a very sweet girl but over the course of events she has been broken. She was nearly turned into a Soul Searcher and became rather suicidal, making an attempt before Duncan rescued her. She has lost nearly everyone—her brother, her father is constantly trying to change her into a Soul Searcher... the only people she feels safe with is the group, and primarily Zack and Autumn [who used to be Dustin's lover]. In true love with Zack, she confessed to him after her suicide attempt. She is the innocent one of the group, hating violence and being very close to Dylan, Acacia, and Zack. Her father joins the humans after the destruction of the base, and everyone does their best to hide her from him.

History [Two sentences, how your Soul-Searching has been going]: Leonardo was a young man with a large imagination. He believed in the prophecy of 2012 and wanted to be a Soul Searcher to make it happen if it didn’t. In 2012 he killed his wife when she found out. He had a son, Dustin, and a daughter, Freia. His son Dustin is now dead, thanks to Travis, and Freia is still alive. He is trying to find her and turn her into a Soul Searcher so she won’t have to be killed. He nearly succeeded once by taking Zack and nearly killing him, luring Freia after him, and was one cut away before he was brutally interrupted by Duncan. He has learned of Freia's suicide attempt and is rather taken aback by it. He hasn't made any moves since the day he tried to change Freia into the Soul Searcher. When the human base is destroyed, he takes the initiative and goes to the remaining humans, and is redeemed to an extent. He tries to find time to talk to Freia but gets none.
Weapons: He has a large assortment of guns, but he only carries around one or two at a time. He also carries around some knives, but not many, he usually avoids torture.
Love Interest: No.
Other: He won’t stop until he gets what he wants.

Name: Charles "Charlie" Cean [pronounced 'shun']

Looks: Charlie
Biography [Two sentences]: Charlie was never afraid of anything and was actually in the US Army for a short time. He was home for Christmas in 2012 when the Soul Searchers attacked and his family was killed. He gathered with an amazing number of humans in order to find shelter. He became second in command of the 'alliance' they formed. After discovering that his long lost childhood lover Morrigan was alive, he continued to love her even when she wanted to turn him into a Soul Searcher and almost killed him. With all the other leaders missing or in a coma, he has to lead the remaining humans to the new base and has to have confidence in himself to lead, which is a first. He finds some confidence in the group of humans newest to the base, but he still isn't sure he's right for the job.
Weapons: A rare dagger disguised as a holy cross; he also carries a pistol.

Biography [Two sentences]: Not much at all is known about Autumn, she keeps to herself almost all the time. She is very good at hiding and she is skilled at fighting even though she hates to fight. Currently a terrible fate has befallen her, she has been captured by the Soul Searchers—“in secret” by Travis. He’s kept her locked in his room, and since he had left Travis had hired someone to go in and take care of her until he came back. She’s gone into a coma of some kind and it would seem as if she were dying. She woke up after several days when Darius had taken the room, and was released by him with only a promise that he would come after her for answers. She nearly died when the human group found her and took her in to heal, and she met Freia again, and since Dustin is dead; Freia is technically under her care. She had been brutally attacked by Travis and Duncan, and has an ever resentful grudge against them for it, meaning a lot of tension between her and Kendra. She is going to lead them to the human base—and hopefully have Duncan executed. When the execuction tactic fails, she goes on. She attacks Selene after learning she is the cause that Dustin is dead. After many trials and errors, she sets to try and make things right until she's taken by the Soul Searchers once again, Darius in particular.
Weapons: She’s lost all of any weapons she had.

History [Two sentences, how your Soul-Searching has been going]: Julia began to Soul Search after the first week of 2012. She was terrified of the Soul Searchers and just wanted and excuse for them to let her live. She didn’t care that it required the killing it did, all she wanted was to live. Eventually she adapted to the lifestyle but she never got accustomed to the mercy the humans begged for. She’s actually changed a lot of Soul Searchers, but one realized how many she was changing and ended up killing a lot of them because they never killed. He went to her and basically locked her in a room for several days so her scars were hurting her uncontrollably. She was driven to the point of insanity. Now she kills without mercy and tortures almost every human she can find. She’s fallen in love once, but she witnessed him being murdered by the Soul Searchers on the 21st. She met Gavrie and everything has changed for her. She got a bit calmer around people and just really loves to speak to him. She's admitted to herself that she's fallen for him, but she still has a few sparks of insanity and anxiety in her when he isn't around. Her love growing and growing for Gavrie, she can't help but be with him whenever she can. Ruthless in battle when she uses her fear rather than hides from it, she took several lives in the battle. Gaining a slight resentment for Ivanka, she does everything she can to annoy her through Gavrie.

Biography [Two sentences]: Hali has worked in the department of medicine for as long as she can remember. Her father was a surgeon and her mother was a nurse. She was a nurse as well before 2012. She found the humans after a few months of travelling and heals any injured there regardless of who they are. In the battle for the base, she was killed by a gunshot wound to the lung. She gave Zack her blessings before she died.

Biography [Two sentences]: Zerlina is a girl who is very respectful of rules. She resides in a section of town that hasn't yet been invaded by Soul Searchers. It's like a small district where humans reside, but they don't come out often as to not attract the Soul Searchers. She still thinks too many people come out anyway. She usually stays in a building where there is food fit for a king. She hates the Soul Searchers with all her heart, and she is very strategic. When Darius turned her into a Soul Searcher, she had a fleeting turmoil of emotions she couldn't control for anything. When she finally got her emotions under control, she began to relate to Darius, though she still hates him for what he's done.
Weapons: A small gun and knife.

Name: “Elder”
Age: Unknown, but pretty old.
Gender: Male
Looks: Elder
Biography [Two sentences]: He is an old man with a strong heart who wields many answers. He is wise and he has this ‘staff’ which can detect ‘truth.’ If the person ‘stabbed’ with the staff does not have good will, or what he calls truthfulness, that person will go unconscious for a short time. He is old, but not to the point that he is in a wheelchair or on medication. He is almost like a guidance counselor for the humans, willing to listen to anyone. He is very kind and not known to get angry. A true leader to the end, in the battle for the human base, he was killed by Fortune by multiple knife wounds. He gave everyone his blessings before he died.

Biography [Two sentences]: Jaith was never really near the catastrophe of 2012 when it happened. Not many Soul Searchers were in Madagascar, after all. He was there for a business trip. He took the flight back to have the plane attacked on board, and he was one of the few who survived by having the brains to jump out with a parachute. He made it to land and went back to his hometown after a long strenuous travel where he had to avoid Soul Searchers the whole way. He had a human with him who explained what had happened. The human was killed by a rogue Soul Searcher and Jaith almost killed. He has a huge scar on his arm from blocking a knife slash. He made it to the town where the Soul Searcher building resided and immediately left and found the human base after a long while. They accepted him in immediately and he does whatever he can to protect his new home. He is a very optimistic and kind person until you anger him, which is also somewhat hard to do. Though it was hard, he forgave Lulu for what she did to him and the entire base. He won't admit his feelings to even himself, though he'll do anything to protect her.

Biography: Dustin Amaire was always a respectful person, therefore being respected himself. He kept very high in grades and to him, sports were second nature. The most important thing that existed to him since his sister was born was just that-his sister, Freia. He said to a lot of people when asked that he would protect her with his life if it came to that. He met Autumn Snow when he was 10 and she was 9; she had moved onto his block. At this time he was already friends with Charlie Cean. Charlie introduced them for Charlie had actually known her for a while through their families. They stuck like glue, including Charlie, and they became the ultimate trio. He eventually told Autumn that he loved her when he was 16 and she was 15. He and his family moved to Germany, however, in the next two months for a job his father Leo had gotten. He quit early in the year 2012 and they moved back to their old hometown. Dustin went back to Autumn and Charlie and it remained that way until 2012. He was at home with his mother and father and Freia. As the clock chimed, Leo immediately stood and shot his mother, Sabrina. Dustin made Freia hide and Leo turned Dustin into a Soul Searcher. The two were Soul Searchers for about a year before Dustin found Freia by herself, and immediately left. The two came upon the human base and remained there for a good few months before he decided he didn't want Freia in the war preparations. e had met Autumn and Charlie there again, and promised to make routine visits. He and Freia went to their old house and stayed there, giving his mother a proper funeral and, after a while, Autumn came to visit him only a day after a visit he had made and she told him she was pregnant. He was hysterically happy, but that was for only about for a few weeks. Two Soul Searchers found them, Travis and Selene, and he was 'killed' by Selene while protecting Freia. It turns out some old Soul Searchers found him as he was dying and decided to save him after seeing him wearing a broken Soul Searchers necklace. They assumed he had snapped it in the fight by accident. Fortune knew better, though. He has used Freia against him, saying he would kill Freia if he didn't do as he was asked. He was told about what Leo had been trying to do and, angered, attacked his father into submission. It is the reason he hasn't gone after them again.

Biography: Daniel is Kendra Medias' older brother. He is rather haughty and conceited, but also very quiet. He did well in school, always the highest in his class and number one athlete, always striving for the best. He only [/i]settles[/i] for the best. He saw his sister as imperfect and tried to avoid her, but she actually idolized him and strived to reach and achieve whatever he did. He spoke to her whenever she talked to him but otherwise he just ignored her. When he was graduating and Kendra was to go into Jr. High, he declared that he was going to a college overseas. Against their wishes at him not doing so, he left at the beginning of Kendra's school year. He never communicated with them if he could help it, not answering letters or phone calls. The conspiracy of 2012 started going around and he sought a way to survive, and actually came to face with one of the first ever Soul Searchers. He was changed into one and he went back to America for the Christmas vacation and anniversary of 2012 to kill his family so no one else could. He considered it merciful. He had Kendra sit next to him after she ended up getting frightened enough about it and waited until it reached 12, immediately shooting their parents and putting Kendra into a closet, locking it. He left, expecting Kendra to die in the closet. He's Soul Searched ever since but he doesn't relish in the thought of war with the humans.

She didn't care. When she became a Soul Searcher and met Duncan and Darius, she simply decided to hate the both of them because no one else did. The only one willing to stand up to them and spit at their feet, she is stubborn to them but kind to anyone else unless she is angered.

She's retained her happy attitude despite what's happened to her, although if someone asks about her past, she'll either become very cold or completely ignore them. | She's a Soul Searcher thanks to Travis, but she never kills willingly. The only times she’s killed is when both Fortune and Darius forced her too. She faces a lot of emotional turmoil because of it. She’s grown closer with everyone, but especially with Kendra and Dylan; both on totally different levels. She’s grown to love Dylan, but the closest either of them have come to saying “I love you” was that they cared for each other. She’s a usually sweet girl, but she can become very angry if she’s pushed hard enough. | She went through the trail to pass being at the human base before it was wiped out, having passed it easily. She admitted to Dylan that she loved him, getting the same from him. She has been happy, but during the attack she was pulled out by Fortune. She snapped when he forced her to kill again, going off in an incoherent fit when Dylan had found her again. She hasn't quite been the same since then, but no one has been able to see that yet.

But she can be ruthless, despite her calm personality and she enjoys killing. | Selene became pregnant soon after falling in love with Travis, and has been on the run with him since. She was ruthlessly attacked by Fortune, and since then she’s deathly afraid of him, even to the point of being unable to move. She’s suffered some emotional scarring because of it, even attempting to kill herself only to be stopped by Travis. She’s grown more and more worried about Travis every day, and she’s come to feel that he shouldn’t push himself so hard for only her. She’s one of two people that know Travis and Fortune are brothers. | Selene has gone through many things during her time, including being attacked by Travis himself. He’ll stick up for his friends if he needs too, and he isn’t afraid to fight the Soul Searchers. | He met Acacia and Kendra early into the RP, and joined with them. They were tricked into a trap set by Travis and Selene set to torture them. Soon after they met Duncan who helped against the couple after trying to kill Kendra himself. Even aside from Duncan’s rocky start with the group, the two boys have formed an almost brotherly friendship over the months. But the person that Dylan has become the closest with is Acacia. He has admitted to himself that he loves her, and even to Duncan as well, but he has yet to say it to her. He’s waiting for the right time, but he doesn’t know when that will ever be. | He has grown much closer to the core group since the start of things, and especially since they arrived at the human base. He remains cold whenever Travis is within eyesight of him, but he is his usual and calm self. He has stayed with Acacia since the testing, even willing to prank Duncan. Yet at the attack, he was off fighting any and all Soul Searchers he came into. She paid the price however, and he hates himself for it. He hasn't been himself either, because of a fight he got into with Kendra.

History [Two sentences, how your Soul-Searching has been going]: Duncan survived a house fire once, which led to the brutal scar that he has on the left side of his body. Because of the fact that the fire was meant to kill him, he’s become a very cruel and cold killer. He leans more towards torture then death, but he usually kills his victims afterwards. | Duncan was originally the Fourth in Command, the Quaternary, but he chose to give it up when he saved Kendra, Dylan, and Acacia from Travis and Selene. He has changed, unknowing to himself, over the course of time, from saving those in the group, to even saving humans he finds when he goes out to kill. He despises most, if not all, of the Soul Searchers now, but the people that he hates the most are Fortune and Leo. He’s become closer to Kendra, even as far as love, but he doesn’t know it himself. When Fortune captured Kendra, and said that Duncan could kill her to gain back everything, he refused. It was then that he was gifted with his new found power over fire. He has adapted well to it, using it only has he can. He feels sorry for what he did to Autumn, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t stand up for himself if it came to it. He was recently in a fight with his brother, but he has yet to see his father, Melvin. | He has calmed down from his former days as a Soul Searcher; they wouldn't recognize him by his behavior. Nonetheless, he is still cruel and torturous to anyone that he considers to be an enemy. He was also highly interested in medicine, and knows quite a bit about it. | Zack has had to treat many of the wounds the group has faced, even his own recently. He cares about Freia deeply, but every time he tried to say that he loved her, he didn’t have the courage too. He has an intense hatred for Leo, maybe even more than Duncan does. When Freia came back after being rescued by Duncan, he told her that he loved her. | Zack has stayed close to Freia since their arrival, helping her as best as he could. Hali said that he would have to take care of things since she couldn't, which he has done. However, it's taken a toll on him and his mind. He wants power, but he has a limit on how far he'll go for it. | Darius took a liking to Gavire, even gaining a bit of respect for the junior Soul Searcher. He showed him through his first day, but hasn’t talked much with him since. Darius is the older brother to Duncan, but only by about a minute. They fought constantly while they were both Soul Searchers, and they still do even though Duncan left. He has recently been made Tertiary by Fortune, but his room and office weren’t anything like he had expected. Of the two, he was the first that Melvin visited. | He has been training Zerlina since the day he turned her, trying to force her to kill. She evaded his last effort, and he has yet to make her do so again. He fought with Autumn during the attack, but was interrupted by Melvin and Alistair. During his time with Duncan he was forced to watch as Duncan killed people over and over. Eventually Larry just snapped. He’s stayed with the group since, but he’s still very closed off, only really speaking to Duncan. | He was found after the fight by Duncan and Kendra, but he has fallen off the earth again.

She usually doesn’t waste time killing, just shooting them in the head and going off. But if she’s ever disarmed, she’s still capable of fighting. | She found a long lost lover, Charlie, one time when he was out looking for humans. She and him planned to meet each other every two days, but Fortune eventually found out and recut her scars completely in trying to find out who it was. After threats of torture on Charlie, she had sworn that she would kill Charlie during the fight, which she didn't. She tried to run away afterwards, but Fortune caught her once again. She was put into the cells after that, and hasn't been able to escape yet.

History: Leliana was a newlywed a few months before the Soul Searchers attacked. She was with her husband on the night of December 20th, 2012, but she didn’t believe that anything was going to happen. How wrong she was. When the Soul Searchers attacked, her husband forced her to flee, leaving him behind to die at their hands. She doesn’t look at the Soul Searchers with a murderous intent, but she does believe that they need to be stopped. She met Alistair not long afterward and they became close friends, staying together and helping each other. They met Autumn, and also met Charlie, a while later. They ended up talking one night about some way for a large group of humans to gather and fight the Soul Searchers. It was then that she, along with the three of them, formed a secret human grotto from which they had the hopes to fight against the Soul Searchers. She is the Harbinger, or the first Leader of the humans. | She was informed the morning of the attack that it was coming, but had no time to prepare for the slaughter that happened. She broke down when Fortune forced her to set off the bombs in the building, but lashed out in anger after that. She's been taken as a captive by him, but she has no idea that Duncan is at the base, nor that the Elder and Hali are dead.

History: Alistair was going to be a professor on the medieval centuries and cultures before the 2012 incident. The night it happened he was home alone. When he heard the Soul Searchers come, he ran out the back door and never went back. A while after that, he met Leliana the two became good friends. They met Autumn and Charlie after a few more months. They formed a secret human grotto together in order to fight the Soul Searchers. He is the Trinary, or the third Leader of the humans. | He has grown closer to Autumn over time, but something always comes in the way. It's obvious to anyone around that he cares for her and would do whatever it takes to make her happy, even at the cost of his own happiness. He was brutally attacked in the fight by Melvin, and had slipped in and out of consciousness. He left Charlie to lead the humans when he slipped into a coma he has yet to awaken from.
Weapons: Two revolvers and a Swiss knife

Other: Alistair is sweet, funny and cute. He has a wry sense of humor, but he can take matters very seriously if the circumstances need it to be. He was on death-row on December 21st, 2012 when Soul Searchers broke into the prison he was in that night. One freed him, and he asked to be made into one. Once he was, he killed the person that made him into one. When Duncan and Darius were younger, Melvin and their mother separated. He took Darius while Duncan was taken by their mother. He had seen either of them until the events of 2012. | He met both of his sons, both at different times. He gave Duncan a lashing when they met again, which accounted for most of his wounds from the fight. He willingly brought back Duncan on Fortune's orders, and has been laying low since that time.
Weapons: Whatever he can find. He has a scythe that he carries, but that’s only for torture.

Other: The reason why he was a mass murderer was to support the one he called Jashin-sama. He made Duncan and Darius start to ‘believe’ in him, but they never killed until 2012. Melvin thought that Jashin-sama would shine down on him and protect him, which he has, technically.

She was a friendly girl before it all, but her soul’s been shattered and crushed. She hardly speaks but she’s deathly afraid of Fortune and would most likely do what he said to. | She's followed Fortune's orders so that she could be free from him, but she started to regret it. She's become closer with Jaith, feeling that he does genuinely care about her like no one else has. She deeply regrets what she brought about, having apologized countless times to Jaith. She doesn't understand why he still talks with her though.

Biography [Two sentences, how has your Soul Searching been going]: Nicolas was born in Finland, and met Selene’s mother when she was only 16, he was 17 at that point. They got married, but he never wanted to have kids while she did. When she eventually did get pregnant with Selene, Nicolas was furious. After Selene was born however, her mother left, wanting nothing to do with him or her child. After she was gone, Selene was left in his ‘care’ but it was nowhere near to that. Every night when he can back from work, he would usually have a full carton of bottles in his right hand and then another full one in his left. When he had sufficiently emptied them, he’d end up beating Selene, telling her that she was trash and useless. He’d realize what he’d done, but he never seemed to care, holding the threat of something ‘more’ over her if she told anyone. The date the Soul Searchers came was one of the few days that he didn’t beat her, but he did force her to stay up. When they came, she ran out the back, leaving him alone with a few of them. He fought against them, but they turned him into a Soul Searcher anyway. He didn’t like it at first, but he’s grown into the role. He did eventually leave the main building and form his own little group of Soul Searchers. They only went out to kill when they had too, or so they were told. He still goes out to kill more than he needs too.

His main ambition, after finding aquaintance in both Leo and Darius, and even the notice of Fortune, is to climb as many ranks as he can and do what he must to someday become a powerful leader within the Soul Searchers society.

He drew a knife only out of habit, continually glancing back with nonchalant glances to Nicolas and jeering glances at Callum. He kept walking, death and blood on his mind, when he saw the first glimpse. They were too far away to be heard, but they were most definitely there. He looked back and forth quickly, his excitement making him become eccentric. He twirled the knife in his hands to occupy them as he said to Nicolas, going back to him; talking quietly as if the humans were only a few feet away: "They're up there. Not many. About... forty or fifty."

Glancing ahead again, he took off at a run so quiet you had to strain to hear his feet shuffle along the cold, desolate ground. He noticed they were going down a ravaged and destroyed street, and took cover behind one of the buildings with all windows busted out and holes in the buildings as if grenades had known the building. He sped to each edge of the building, peering around the corners to see the group of humans. A man with a staff was leading, looking austere. Daniel took a breath to calm his racing heart, before racing to the next building to duck behind. He forgot Callum's and Nicolas' presence, only wanting to confront the humans—though he knew such an act would be suicidal. He instead kept going, examining the group very intently. His lips curved upward in a malevolent leer as he finally remembered Nicolas and Callum, and glanced back to see if they were near.

Zerlina gets nowhere near such a cool post. Her name was almost spelled Xrtlins, just so you know...

Zerlina grinned, curious to see his reaction. She slid her hand into his, lacing their fingers. "Make it a date, Darius." She said flirtaciously.

Nicolas watched Daniel's actions, only nodding in regards of what he had said. He sped up to Daniel, keeping him in his range of sight, only giving a mild smirk to his body language. The way Daniel was reacting reminded him of a child getting a toy or being giddy about some surprise they had no knowledge of. When Daniel stopped again for the last time, Nicolas caught up to him, stopping beside him. "When shall we make ourselves known to them?" He asked, looking over to him to see what he'd answer with.

Darius reddened in his cheeks slightly and forced his nerves to calm down. He slowly reached to put an arm around her shoulders. "Well, what would you consider to be a date, Miss Zerlina [Xrtlins]?"

Daniel frowned, contemplating. "There's more than we could handle. What would we do?" He asked the older man, a tone of respect having been acquired over the time he had known Nicolas. He twirled the knife in his fingers once again, and moved to another building to duck behind as the humans continued walking, unaware of the trio of Soul Searchers following them. Daniel found it invigorating, and it made him more euphoric every time he looked at them and wondered how many he could kill without being found out if he simply threw knives. He didn't have enough to waste on that, though. The humans were simply so dross that he could hardly stand watching them walk with relaxed but grave expressions, as if they thought they were safe! The want to begin a foray was strong within his heart. He carved a cross into the building next to him so he could have something to occupy his bloodlust, looking at Nicolas once again.

"You're doing better." Zerlina complimented alluringly, leaning into him despite what her instincts made her feel. She would demarcate the both of their actions, and stop blandishing him in case he thought he could go too far.

Nicolas merely observed him, continuing to smirk. It was like it was unbearable for him to not be able to attack, to not feel their blood trickle down his hands... Nicolas followed him again, drawing out a knife himself. Whatever Daniel had was apparently contagious--he was starting to get antsy as well. He looked back to Callum, wondering how he was faring at the moment.

Darius waited for just a moment before placing his arm around her. He gazed down at her for a moment before looking out to the desolate area. "Shall we start with something formal or informal?" He asked after moments of silence.

Daniel also glanced back at Callum, as if anticipating Nicolas' action. He tilted his head and looked back to his handiwork, having created a large and detailed cross. He carved two initials, "DM," into the brick to still be able to do something with his hands. He made it prominent beneat the cross and knelt around the building, noticing the humans seemed to be going slower and slower...

As if for them to anticipate their deaths...

"What do you mean?" Zerlina asked, looking at him through her eyelashes.

"Like little mundane stories of before 2012, or just something as simple as likes or dislikes," Darius clarified. "For example, I enjoy reading when I have nothing else that needs doing, and I dislike slackers. And you have already heard the boxer's story," he grumbled.

Taking his dear sweet time, Callum simply meandered along behind the rogue Soul Searcher duo. He smiled broadly as they glanced back at him, twirling petite carving knives in either hand. He was getting impatient for the kill, but that only made the wait that much more... invigorating.

Daniel asked Nicolas, "When do you think we should show ourselves?" He continued shooting glances toward Callum, as if annoyed by his presence.

Zerlina smirked after a moment. "You and I are alike. I also dislike filth and respect rules and enjoy parties. You?" She snickered after his mention of the boxers.

Nicolas kept a keen eye on the humans, appearing not to hear him. However, he said a moment later, "When they're stopped, when the guard can be dropped."

Darius smirked slightly and sighed. "Hm... I actually did enjoy school, when I was still in it. I went to a few parties, but not many. I disliked the boys at my schools. Most of them shouldn't have even been in school; they certainly weren't getting any smarter by being there."

"Wonderful," Callum breathed, concealing one knife and pulling a fragile, black-painted egg from his pocket. He pointedly ignored Daniel. Someday, he would take pleasure in slitting that man's throat. But not while he was still useful. That thought had Callum smiling thinly to himself.

"Julia, love," Gavrie rested a his chin in his palm, looking contemplative. "Were we not promised rewards?" he leaned back against the windowpanes, as he was sitting on the jutted-out sill, and ran a hand through his messy mop of copper hair.

Daniel grunted with discontent at having to wait so long. "We don't know how long that will be!" He said, sounding as if he were twelve years old. He noticed the egg Callum withdrew and tilted his head, but said nothing.

Zerlina laughed quietly. "I agree. That's how all the boys at my school were."

Julia shrugged it off. "It may take longer than expected to receive it." She said softly, watching him.

"It'll be soon enough." Callum replied in a calm tone, playing with the egg. It's contents could be heard slopping around on the inside, as it made a minute rustling noise.

Gavrie pursed his lips. "Longer, indeed." he sighed. "Excuse me for sounding ungrateful."

Nicolas nodded in silent agreement with Callum, glancing back to Daniel. He eyed him with slight disdain before looking back at the group of humans. "We will follow them until then. No moves to kill any of them. We'll have blood on our hands soon enough."

"They were in all schools. Still are, most of them." He mumbled.

Daniel grumbled angrily and looked at the egg once again, his expression more than curious. He said not a word, looking toward the humans and moving to another building once again.

"I wouldn't think so. I'd think most of them are dead." Zerlina stated.

Julia shrugged. "Why don't we go ask the Absolute about it?" She suggested halfheartedly.

Nicolas followed after him yet again, looking dismissively at the humans.

Daniel has nothing to post right now.

Zerlina made a face. "Darius. I'm going to tell you this once. There is no way in hell that anyone is going to school anywhere on this earth."

"I meant in the Soul Searcher Headquarters. What about the guy that talked to you before?" Darius' lips pursed, not being happy to talk about the memory.

"Oh." Zerlina said. She shrugged. "They don't matter, though. It's a matter of time before they die off as well."

"Yes, I suppose so. We all will."
