THE RUMORS:

- Death Note is being made into an American movie to come out in late 2010 or early 2011.
- Light's name is changed to Light Reynolds, or possibly Luke Reynolds. OR Luke Murray.
- Misa's name is changed as well.
- Ryuk might not be in the film.
- The film revolves more around the murder of the protagonist's mother and him trying to discover who it is with the aid of the Death Note.
- Light could be played by Zac Efron.
- Misa could be played by Miley Cyrus.
- L could be played by either Daniel Radcliffe or Johnny Depp.
- Only a few scenes remain the same, such as the confrontation with L on TV and the bus hijacking.
- ...The potato chips are still in the series. (:
