"Like I ever could." Travis kissed her, his arm still around her. "Come on, Selene."

Kendra leaned against him, continuing to watch Acacia. She mumbled, "Dylan, have you got any sleep?"

Selene kissed him back but still frowned. Saying nothing more, she looked ahead again.

Dylan shook his head. "I don't think so," he mumbled back.

Travis yawned loudly and theatrically.

Kendra sighed. "You're not helping her by not sleeping."

Selene looked up at him but looked away again.

"Sleeping won't help either."

Travis sighed. He looked away from her as well.

"Do you want to be dead on your feet when she wakes up?"

Selene frowned from the silence and looked back at Travis.

"I'm not going to die from missing one night of sleep." Dylan said, looking over at her for a moment.

"Why is it that the only thing you fight is my opinion?"

Kendra scowled. "She'll know if she wakes up."

"What do you mean?"

"She'll get over it."

"You don't fight much except me when I make a statement." Travis grumbled.

"But you'd want to frustrate and worry her until then? When she's hurt?"

"Because you don't allow me too." Selene said back.

Dylan scowled and didn't say anything.

"Since when have I not ever let you fight if you had to?" Travis said, annoyed.

"Well?" Kendra questioned, scowling at him impatiently.

"Let's see, you wouldn't let me fight against that mob before, you didn't let me fight in that battle the humans had..." Selene pretended to ponder. "If Duncan suddenly had the notion to attack me, you wouldn't let me fight either."

"Well?"

"No, I wouldn't. But you don't protest, either—until it's something I say, like now."

"You didn't answer me."

"Yes you would. I don't because I know that you'd stop me anyway." Selene growled.

Dylan made a face and kissed her hand lightly before limping away to a bed nearby her, still using the crutch.

"I was agreeing with you, by the way. 'No, I wouldn't let you fight.' But even if I'm not there to stop you, you don't try..." Travis said calmly.

Kendra watched him and looked up at Duncan, her expression almost desolate.

Selene stopped and looked at him, trying to stop herself from scowling and not succeeding. "How the hell do you know if I do or not?"

Duncan looked back at her with the exact expression before he kissed her lightly. "If you don't need anything, I'm going to go clean up a bit. I'll come back though..."

"Because of how badly you got hurt yesterday." Travis said, softly now. "It may have made it worse if you had, for which I am grateful—but it could have deterred him long enough for someone to hear you, or for you to run." He reasoned.

Kendra kissed him back and nodded faintly. "Alright."

"I did fight him, or tried to. You've seen how strong he is." She said angrily. "The damn humans wouldn't care, it just be another Soul Searcher dead to them anyway."

Duncan walked out quickly heading back to the room he stole from Leo. 'Have to wash the damn jacket too. And get back to her.' He sped up quickly, looking around at the people he passed. 'Maybe one of these is another spy for him, it could be anyone here.'

"And then they'd have to deal with me. They wouldn't want you dead." Travis growled.

Kendra sat down on a bed, sighing.

"Why wouldn't they? It'd just be someone else dead that was against them. I'm surprised none of us have been murdered in our sleep yet."

Duncan reached the hall way, but spotted someone just turning the corner to another hall. 'Maybe that was the one.' He went after the person quickly and tackled him to the ground. "Why the hell were you just there?!" He growled angrily.

The man looked up at him, stunned, and shook his head. "I-I just wanted to go back to my room-"

"Lier! I bet you're talking to Fortune aren't you!"

"They'd die if they so much as looked at you in a murderous way." Travis said darkly.

"I'm sure," she muttered, rolling her eyes a bit.

"I don't even know who that is!" The man growled back at him, shoving him away.

"Tell the truth, dammit!"

"I don't know who you're talking about!"

Duncan scowled angrily and said, "Like hell you don't!" before punching at his face.

Travis sighed, looking off to the side.

"Duncan!" Charlie shouted, running toward them. "What in the hell are you doing?!"

Selene looked back at him and scowled slightly.

Duncan looked up at Charlie and scowled. 'Where the hell do they come from!?' He looked back at the man with disdain and growled, "He was hanging around our rooms. I don't want him near them."

Travis didn't look back at her, scowling as well.

Charlie scowled. "He can go where he wants. He's a resident here." He looked at the man. "Are you alright?"
